Sarfira' is a remake of Tamil film 'Soorarai Pottru' and these both are directed by the same original film director Sudha Kongara who won five National awards including Best Actor for Suriya and Best Feature Film awards. At recently held screening of 'Sarfira' in Mumbai, Hindi remake starcast Akshay Kumar, Radhika Madan, and also director alongwith Suriya-Jyothika were present at the event. For the unaware, Tamil superstar is to surprise his audience with his cameo in the film.
